The Governors of the school have begun the formal process of converting the school to an academy as part of a multi-academy trust. The reasons for this decision lie in trying to ensure that the school can continue to provide a quality educational provision for a sustainable future.
As we are a small school of a Church Foundation it was considered that the school should try to join the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust. The LAAT is a multi-academy trust formed by the Diocese of Lincoln. They are a growing and thriving family of schools who is dedicated to providing an excellent education for pupils in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire
The Trust was chosen because it is committed to supporting both school improvement and in church schools Christian distinctiveness, whilst maintaining every school as a special and unique place. Unique characteristics are important to schools, communities and these are celebrated and retained.
The conversion to an Academy school has been put on suspension until the Governors have appointed a new headteacher.
A meeting was held with the LAAT for parents and for Staff at the school. The minutes of this meeting are available on the link.
