& Ammonites!
We encountered the 'Classroom of Devastation' at the beginning of this term and we have made it our mission to find out what happened in Class 2!
We picked up lots of clues from the day, we managed to gather eye witness reports as well as research natural disasters and make things to keep us safe!
Lots of us created a news report, whether we were learning at school or home. Check out some of them below:
The children have been investigating different types of natural disasters, to try and figure out what really happened in Class 2!
We have had a lovely week for mental health week, doing something we enjoy, a scribble picture and having some fun games online as a class!
We also enjoyed investigating light and creating our own shadow puppets and shows both at home and school!
What an exciting week we had planned as we launched our new topic Urban Pioneers...
Although the week turned out differently to what we were expecting we still had a great day testing out different art techniques and creating urban landscapes!
Check out the pictures below!
Our learning for the term will be based on 'Emperors and Empires', this is very rich in history and we will be finding out all about what the Romans did for us and other important facts!
We had so much fun on our 'Roman Experience Day'!
We made honey biscuits as honey was an ingredient used lots by the Romans, we mead leaf crowns, mosaics and clay pots. We also practised speed marching, had chariot races and threw the javellin.
We learned to sign a song about being like a Roman (please find the link below) and at the end of the day we graduate as new recruits to the Roman army!
Autumn Term 1
We have been busy finding out about Towers, Turrets and Tunnels this term with our first topic.
This week we have been finishing off our Paul Klee inspired art work called 'Castle and Sun', we have used watercolours to make them colourful and then we have outlined the shapes.
What do you think? We like them better than the original!
