Events at Swinderby School!
RHUBARB THEATRE VISIT. APRIL 2025
On Friday 25th April the school were treated to a performance of 'Airport Aliens' by Rhubarb theatre.
What a great way to end the week. This was followed up by a workshop for Key Stage One.
Class 4 celebrated National Poetry Day by rehearsing and performing the poem One by James Berry.
Then they explored Blackout Poetry in order to create their own poems.

RED NOSE DAY 2024
The school once again took part in the annual event raising money for Comic Relief. Biscuit decorating, wearing red and cake sales were the order of the day. The children had fun whilst supporting others less fortunate than themselves. Thank you to The School Council and Miss Whelan were organising the day!

The school had fun taking part in the annual nationwide fundraising day collecting money for Pudsey!
DIWALI DANCE WORKSHOP
Diwali Dance Worshop
We all had a fantastic time during our Diwali Dance Worshop.
We learned about the story of Rama and Sita.
We used lots of moves to show the different characters in the story and we had to try match our facial expressions to the characters.
We all performed our final routine and had lots of fun!
Science Day - Thursday 3rd March
The children at Swinderby all Saints were excited to participate in Science Day! It was not long before the corridor was filled with 'wow and this is amazing!'
Throughout the day, all children participated in two fantastic workshops ran by Wild Science. The first workshop was called Slime and the second Fizz. Bang, Pop. The children also completed the task of smashing stereotypes in Science.

Tractor Day - 28th February 2022
This year we have welcomed back Tractor Day!
We are so lucky at Swinderby Primary School to have so many families wanting to get involved with events at our school. Three different, local farming families all came together to provide the children with a day of learning new things and lots of excitement.
The children learned all about different farming machinery, how it works and their different uses. They explored different fruits and vegetables, deciding whether these grow above or below ground. They were able to take apart and put back together a bee hive, looking closely at all the different componenets. They planted and discussed how to look after their very own tomato plant. They were able to hold chicks, learning all about how they are looked after and how they grow. Finally, as a whole school we shared all of our new learning and found out that lots of jobs actually link to farming!
All of the children and staff had a brilliant, inspiring day!
