The DfE have launched a brand new site, designed especially for parents, with the support, information and resources they need to help their children enjoy the summer holidays and prepare for the next academic year.

The site features links to programmes, activities, resources and videos to boost children's learning and wellbeing aimed at parents of 0-19 year olds, with extra information for parents of SEND children.

Parking - Why not 'Park & Stride' to school?

Swinderby All Saints Primary School is now operating a ‘Park and Stride’ scheme, working with Swinderby Village Hall and LCC Sustainable Travel Officers.

Parking space near our school is very limited. We respectfully request that you are considerate to our neighbours and do not obstruct their driveways.  At drop off and pick up times parents are encouraged to park at Swinderby Village Hall and walk your child(ren) the short distance to the school. We hope this will alleviate many parking problems both parents and residents have previously faced and encourage our youngsters to walk part of their journey to school in a safer environment.

Although the Village Hall committee have allowed the use of their car park, it is to be noted that this is not a drop off facility and parents are expected to accompany their children especially as help may be needed to cross the road.

Walking that extra 5 minutes a day adds up to almost an hour of walking a week, and will help cardiovascular fitness, keep your heart healthy and tone muscles - great for our growing generation!

The Park and Stride scheme aims to alleviate stress at the school gates and supports our students in learning vital skills such as daily fitness and road safety. We hope you'll join in our efforts by parking at Swinderby Village Hall and encouraging other parents to do the same.

Happy Striding!
